Magnolia Star Wars 250mm

Magnolia Star Wars is a larger growing variety that features enormous dark purple/pink buds that open into large pink flowers fading out to white at the tips. Star Wars is quite precocious and will start flowering at a young age, and once mature this beautiful tree can bear flowers up to 30cm across. And if that’s not enough- this stunning flowers on this variety are also heavily fragrant! Frost hardy deciduous small trees, Magnolias show off large goblet shaped blooms on bare branches in late Winter to early Spring, followed by large green leaves that will eventually become shades of gold in Autumn. Magnolias are ideal to grow as specimen trees in small gardens or courtyards and make spectacular driveway plantings.

It is hard to find a more spectacular sight than a Magnolia in full bloom; these beautiful trees perform best in cooler climates and grow into a better shape (and flower for longer periods of time) with protection from strong winds. Snails love the delicate flowers so keep an eye out for these troublesome pests at flowering time.
