Magnolia ‘Ballerina’ is a medium to large, rounded tree that will grow up to 5m tall and can stretch up to 3m wide, the size can be constrained with regular pruning. It will take around ten years to reach maturity. They are quick to establish and will flower after just a few years of establishment.
Plant Magnolia ‘Ballerina’ in a full sun, to semi shade position. Moderately fertile, to humus rich, well drained soil is ideal. Acidic soils are preferred, though this variety has a better alkalinity tolerance than most. If grown in warm climates will require more watering whilst establishing. It is easy to grow and adaptable to a range of conditions. Prune in winter as required.
